SafeStream Project

Redefining AdOps Workflows
A centralized platform for simplifying and scaling CTV and audio advertising workflows

The product In a nut shell

SafeStream is the first platform to centralize AdOps workflows for CTV and audio advertising, powered by AI-driven analysis. The platform analyzes video and audio media by processing media’s data, transcripts and images, providing detailed compliance insights and actionable attributes.
As the  Lead Product Designer , I designed the platform from scratch – turning concepts into a fully realized product. Using insights from foundational research, I crafted wireframes, prototypes, and a cohesive design system tailored to the unique needs of AdOps professionals.

Key Contributions:

Designed the platform end-to-end, from ideation to delivery.

Innovation:

AI-powered analysis of media, text, and image compliance integrated seamlessly into a centralized workflow.

Outcome:

Successfully launched with paying customers and continues to grow with real-world feedback.

Meeting Business and User Needs

SafeStream was born out of the company’s vision to create a scalable product that fills a gap in the AdOps ecosystem. Through research on existing customers, potential users, and competitors, we discovered that AdOps professionals are highly technical users relying on manual workflows without centralized solutions. This revealed a clear opportunity: to deliver an intuitive, AI-driven platform that simplifies operations and meets unmet needs.
From these insights, we identified three key challenges:

1

Attracting New Users

Creating a flexible foundation to support future growth and evolving customer demands

2

Simplifying Complexity

Creating a flexible foundation to support future growth and evolving customer demands

3

Ensuring Scalability

Creating a flexible foundation to support future growth and evolving customer demands

Resolving Complicity

To design SafeStream, I focused on creating an intuitive and approachable platform that directly addressed the key challenges faced by AdOps professionals. Using thoughtful UI/UX principles, I simplified complex workflows, reduced cognitive load, and crafted a seamless, user-centered experience. The result was a set of detailed, high-fidelity prototypes that laid the foundation for a scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solution.

Core UI/UX Principles
 Emotion: Building Trust and Connection

Familiarity Through Design

SafeStream’s design builds on the company’s established branding to foster trust and recognition. Familiar fonts and refined brand elements provide a strong foundation for clarity and readability.

Calming and Intuitive Colors

A fresh palette of blues and greens inspires trust while reducing cognitive load, complemented by neutral tones like white and light gray for a clean, uncluttered background.

New and Refined Visual Identity

The newly designed logo and its calming gradient represent seamless workflows, connection, and progress. These elements create a professional and approachable identity while maintaining ties to the company’s trusted branding.

Consistency Across the Platform

Establishing a Unified Design System

To streamline the user experience, I developed a cohesive design system that ensures consistency across colors, typography, icons, and layouts. This foundation creates a seamless and predictable navigation experience.

Usability: Simplifying Complex Workflows

Information Hierarchy and Grouping

Applying Gestalt’s Law of Similarity, I grouped related data to create logical flows and reduce cognitive load. On the Media Page, I prioritized key insights like threats and AI analysis results at the top, with metadata and additional details structured below.

Progressive Disclosure

To prevent users from feeling overwhelmed, I implemented progressive disclosure. This approach dynamically reveals additional information, such as extended metadata, when needed, ensuring clarity while keeping the interface clean.

Ensuring Accessibility for All Users

Inclusive Design Features

Accessibility was a core focus throughout the design process. I paired alerts and status indicators with descriptive icons and text, ensuring the platform is usable for individuals with visual impairments.

Interactive Feedback

Features like the “Page Not Found” screen and clear error and hover messages ensure users receive immediate guidance when issues arise. High-contrast colors and scalable fonts further improve readability for diverse audiences.

Engagement: Interactive Design

Flexible, Adaptable Elements

I incorporated interactive components such as expandable content and collapsible panels. For example, on the Media Page, clicking the “Transcript” button dynamically reveals key details while maintaining a clean layout.

Adaptive Layouts

The design is tailored for specific media types. For video, transcripts dynamically expand into available space, while for audio, they remain visible alongside other metadata for ease of use.

The Outcome

SafeStream launched with its core media pages, achieving the company’s goal of gaining paying customers and validating the platform’s potential. The design system and interactive features streamlined workflows for users, making the platform approachable and effective.

Ongoing development is guided by real-world feedback from customers, ensuring future updates, such as the settings and data and reports pages, are even more tailored to user needs. This iterative process reflects the platform’s scalability and commitment to addressing evolving challenges in programmatic advertising.

Final Thoughts

SafeStream showcases my ability to tackle complex design challenges, apply user-centered principles, and deliver impactful solutions that balance business goals with user needs. As the first solution of its kind, SafeStream sets the foundation for future innovation in AdOps workflows.
